The Problem & Requirements

In online dating, trust and authenticity are primary obstacles. The application needed a frictionless, uncompromising user verification workflow that validates government photo IDs and live selfies while maintaining an engaging experience.

My Personal Contributions & Responsibilities

✓Led end-to-end mobile engineering and mentored the team through agile delivery milestones.
✓Integrated Persona identity verification SDK natively to manage camera capture, ID validation, and real-time status handling.
✓Architected application state utilizing MVVM with Riverpod StateNotifier/AsyncValue for predictable onboarding progression.
✓Implemented declarative routing via go_router with route guards that prevent unverified users from entering matching feeds.
✓Ensured rigorous security practices for user photo uploads and profile telemetry.

Technical Challenges & Problem Solving

Challenge #1•

Integrating third-party native KYC verification (Persona) while keeping a seamless Flutter navigation stack and handling async webhook callbacks.

Architectural Solution:Wrapped the Persona SDK in a dedicated platform channel / native bridge, listening to state transitions through Riverpod AsyncValue providers. Used go_router redirect guards to automatically reroute users based on their verification tier.

Challenge #2•

Preventing onboarding drop-offs during photo submission and questionnaire stages.

Architectural Solution:Engineered local step caching so that if a user exited the camera or experienced network interruption, their completed profile fields remained intact upon re-opening.
