The Problem & Requirements

Healthcare members required a secure, compliant, and straightforward mobile app to track complex prescription schedules, locate in-network pharmacies, and manage insurance policies for themselves and dependents.

My Personal Contributions & Responsibilities

  • ✓Contributed throughout the initial architecture and foundational development phase.
  • ✓Provided ongoing technical mentoring and code guidelines to the development team on Clean Architecture practices.
  • ✓Implemented GetX controller patterns with strict separation between business logic and UI views.
  • ✓Integrated Firebase Authentication for secure member onboarding and multi-factor access.
  • ✓Constructed modular services for prescription tracking, pharmacy geo-search, and dependent profile handling.

Technical Challenges & Problem Solving

Challenge #1•

Managing deeply nested dependent insurance records and multi-generational family profiles without UI re-render bottlenecks.

Architectural Solution:Structured specialized GetX controllers for dependent members with targeted observable bindings (Obx), ensuring only the specific dependent card or schedule updates when prescription data changes.
Challenge #2•

Adhering to strict health information handling and secure credential storage.

Architectural Solution:Stored member tokens and sensitive health identifiers in encrypted platform keychains (Android EncryptedSharedPreferences and iOS Keychain) rather than plaintext storage.

Architecture & System Design

Architecture BlueprintLayered Clean Architecture with GetX Controllers

Modules partitioned into bindings, controllers, domain models, and presentation views, preventing monolithic controller anti-patterns.

Data & Control Flow:

Views (Obx) <-> GetX Controllers <-> API Service Repositories <-> Secured REST Endpoints

Features Implemented

•Medication scheduling with reminder alerts and dosage tracking
•In-network pharmacy search with map integration and distance calculation
•Family member and dependent profile switching
•Insurance card digital viewer with policy number and co-pay breakdowns
•Secure sign-in with biometric authentication and session timeout protection

Conceptual Workflow & UI Architecture

[1] Input & Event Stream

User gestures & socket events handled with debounced controllers.

[2] State Transformation

Computed by GetX without touching database models directly.

[3] Reactive Projection

Widgets rebuild conditionally via target selectors for optimal frame rates.
